We know that many of you can't make it to the meeting, especially those who have to contend with the I-5 road work. Please know that we will be launching our online survey soon to gather your feedback that way.

You may also respond by contacting Sarah Cherin at (800) 854-KIDS x15 or sarah@childrensalliance.org. Light refreshments will be provided.

Please join us and share your thoughts about what children and families need in your community. These listening sessions are a key part of our process to set an agenda for the 2008 legislative session and to ensure that we are listening to our members in our ongoing policy work.

The 2008 session of the state legislature starts in early January and will go for sixty days. Legislators will be making critical decisions about services that impact children and families in your community. Please come and share your thoughts, ideas and concerns with us and other child advocates. We depend on our community partners around the state to keep us informed about the issues that matter to children so that we can communicate that message to the folks in Olympia. We will be asking you the following:

  • What are the priorities for kids and families in your community?
  • How can state policies and investments make a positive difference in the lives of children and families?
  • What policy and budget issues would you like the Children’s Alliance to work on in the 2008 legislative session?
  • How can the Children’s Alliance best support the advocacy already going on in your community?
All child advocates are welcome at this meeting. Please forward this notice today!

Thank you for speaking up for kids!
